GE62 Apache Pro Sound/Chrome/Firewall Issue

Hey all! I just recently bought a GE62 Apache Pro and I'm having issues. The other day, I was just doing a bit of gaming and my sound crashed. In order to fix it, I uninstalled and then rebooted so that the driver would be reinstalled. However, I tried opening Google Chrome right after and it would not open. After some searching, I figured it may be a Firewall issue. When I tried to open Firewall, it would freeze the control panel window. I ran a sfc /scannow and it said it fixed some corrupted files, but it is still freezing the window. I'm not anywhere close to being a computer genius, but I figured that the sound crashing caused this because Chrome and Firewall were working fine prior to the crash. Anyone have any advice on how to fix this?

If this is a new computer, I would contact the manufacturer as it shouldn't be giving you issues and should be under warranty.
