Good earphones for general PC use?

I'm looking for a good pair of earphones to use for general PC use (watching YouTube, twitch streams, listening to music, etc). I have the HyperX Cloud gaming headset which I will still use when gaming and if the earphones begin hurting my ears, but I want something now that isn't surrounding my ears every day. Something good, comfortable, and with great sound quality. Not some cheap pair. I don't have a sound card if that matters. My motherboard audio is more than sufficient. I guess anything $50 or below is a good amount.

When you say they hurt, in which way? Just so we know what your next pair should be like. I ask this because I have the Cloud Core's and I find them really comfortable
