Got an Ast Ascentia P series

I was getting everything working for hookup to internet tomorrow but I can't seem to find a phone jack spot on notebook, wondering if it looks different or if someone knows where the spot is thanks

As it's a very old model, it only has a standard phone jack for a dial-up modem (remember them?).
For connecting to a router/modem via ethernet cable you have to buy an EtherLink PC Card like this which you push in to the laptop's PCMCIA slot.

I was looking for a phone jack on it can't find it lol wanted to know if someone knew where the spot was on the notebook cause I think I have opened up everything that is there lol so does that cable fit into one of those spots that look like a monitor spot or printer spot cause this notebook has two smaller ports and then several bigger ones which I take to be if I wanted a printer or scanner...

Maybe yours has no built-in modem then, in which case you need an external serial-port modem. Serial port looks like this:

Okay I have them so does that mean I have to connect with another computer to run notebook, so I wouldn't be able to take notebook in car....
