I have a Samsung Smart TV UN 46F6400 and an LG SH7B soundbar connected via HDMI ARC. I have the soundbar set up to auto-on and -off with TV via TV remote, but the following problem persists whether this feature is activated or not. When I turn TV on I have to manually reselect "Receiver" in Sound Settings because it reverts to "TV Speakers" with each power off. When I select "Receiver" a pop up says "Connecting Anynet+ Receiver". It does eventually connect and soundbar works fine, but how can I avoid this manual selection? Samsung Help said this was just a feature of the TV.

Solution
You may have to forgo this auto on/off feature and teach your universal remote to send 2 signals. In a perfect world every brand stuff work with another brand stuff seamlessly, but no.

Thank you. I did try turning off Anynet in my TV settings menu, but after turning the TV off and on again, the sound still defaulted to TV Speakers and I had to manually select "Receiver" again.
