Hd box converter for tv and cable

hi, we have a new flatscreen tv and i was wondering if there is such a thing as a "HD converter box' that would allow me to connect my cable box and dvd player into it and output HD to my new tv? So that i can see both the cable channels and dvds in HD?

is this possible???

There isn't a single box solution that I know of that will do both. If you have a current cable subscription, you may want to upgrade that to include HD Channels or exchange your cable box for an HD Set Top Box.

For your DVDs, you may want to look into Up-Converting DVD players or see if there is a Blu-Ray player that also up-converts DVDs.

u have to rent a hd cable box from cable company....
also check your channel line up/ listings you have....and look for this......>. for example cbs is channel 11.... if i want cbs in hd i go to channel 611.

if you have dish, they have to send you a little adaptor that goes on hd wire that goes into cable box.

to watch dvd... the dvd has to come in HD.. or have a blue-ray player

your flat screen should be hd ready
