I have a PS4 slim along with:

I have it hooked up correctly, and have exhausted all of the Googling I could. Figured I would come here. I am trying to figure out what is going on. I am using the following headset with it:

I have it all hooked up correctly, and it's all working just fine for a few minutes. It flickers every few minutes though. It shows white noise for a second or two, then flashes black, and then back to the game or whatever I am messing with on PlayStation at the time. I am playing on just a standard 1080 LG monitor I bought a few years ago. Figured I wouldn't have any problems when I was making the purchase. Anyone see any issues with the setup? I can provide the monitor model if needed. Just don't have it at the moment. I know this is a sign of a bad HDMI cord or port? I'm not really sure. I used both of the HDMI cords straight from the PS4 to the monitor with no flickering. It's only with the extractor. Maybe there is a setting or something I need to change in order to get it? Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

Solution
HDMI inputs and output interact with the cable so testing the cables without the extractor doesn't mean that the cable isn't the issue.
Try different cables.
The extractor itself could be the problem.
