HDMI Connectivity Promlems

My Sony BRAVIA (KDL-46V4000) will not display audio or video via an HDMI when the signal comes from a Yamaha RX-V371 amp (Home Threatre). When I connect a BD (SAMSUNG D53000) directly to the TV using an HDMI cable it works fine. When I put the signal from the BD via the the amp (using the same HDMI cable) I either get "Audio format not supported" message on the TV and no video signal or a blank screen when I have turned the audio output on the amp off.

I know the system works as I have sucessfully had it working on another TV set.

I am having similar issues with the same amp and my Sony S370 BD player and ATV2. My Xbox 360 works fine through the amp whilst the BD shows a blank screen on my Samsung le40c580j1k TV. The TV displays the picture size and refresh rate, but no picture.

However when I connect the output from the amp to another TV (a much older, smaller samsung Ls20pmasf/edc) the picture works fine.

I have tried different cables/ports/reset the Amp, TV and BD to factory settings, updated firmware on all of the devices.

I should note I am using 5m HDMI cables, but they are good quality. I have also tried an active HDMI booster (by neet from amazon) but that makes no difference.

Does anyone have any suggestions...
