HDMI to Component (YPbPr) Box, No Signal

I am trying to use a converter box to convert my HDMI to Component (YPbPr) signal for my Xbox 360. However, all I get is a No Signal message on my TV. This also happens when I plug my TV into the converter box. The HDMI cable only seems to work when plugged directly into the TV. The device is plugged into a power strip with a 5 volt DC adapter.

It sounds like your TV does have HDMI so I assume that it doesn't have enough HDMI inputs and you want to use the component video audio input? I would suggest that you simply get an HDMI input selector to expand the number of inputs. Using a converter will compromise the picture quality even it it works.

My does have HDMI, but the number of HDMI inputs I have is irrelevant (just one, IIRC). The reason I need the component input is that I have a Roxio capture card that only supports component input.
