Solved! headphones work on tv channels but not on smartview

Phillips headphones using a toslink connection get sound on TV channels but not on the smart channels of my Samsung smart tv. Can this be fixed . I have tried the 3 setting on the dock stand with zero success Can anyone help

You can try changing the audio output type in the TV audio menu or in the audio set up of the app if there is an audio menu for each, Try PCM or stereo.
Some TVs just don't sent audio from their "smart" functions out of the TV. Pretty stupid and no way around it.
