Headset issue (help quick please)

So my new headset just arrived Its a corsair rapter hs40 usb and for some reason whenever i hear a noise it makes a wierd noise like when you have lost single to a radio, this noise stops after 10 seconds but is a huge annoyance. I have tried the headset on my laptop and it works fine there. I also have latest drivers etc so it can't be that.

It also only starts when a sound is played

First off, try plugging the headset into a different USB port, (does the headset connect to the computer by USB or pink and green cables?) I'm tired and can't be asked to research it

Usb and also tried changing ports so idk thx anyway

Alright, well it may be a USB issue, interference and everything.. I know this may sound weird but get a cloth and rub the USB (metal plate) on the headset and then plug the USB back into the computer.

See if this fixes your issue.
