Headset / Soundcard compatibility

Hi,

I need some reassurance here. I am buying a cheap Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 sound card. It's 7.1 channel. However I already own Razer Kraken Pro headsets which are 5.1 channel. Will my headsets work with this sound card or will I need to get a 5.1 channel card?

I've tried to Google this but it only comes up with 7.1 headset and 5.1 card results.

The 5.1 headset will work fine on a 7.1 soundcard. It just won't benefit from the added depth of 7.1. Don't need a 5.1ch card so don't worry. You basically plug in all the wires you have with your setup.
