Hello i have a ASUS X53U-XR1-CBIL want to speed it up

ASUS X53U-XR1-I have upgraded this laptop with 8 gigs of RAM I would still like to see if I can get more speed out of it someone told me that if I upgraded the HDD I could get it to work a little faster I've contacted ASUS but They were not much help wondering if there's anyone that can help me with this

Thank you . When I spoke to Asus they did tell me and my computer was compatible with the Sata what is the difference between Sata and Sata II Sata III and also what's the largest Hard drive i can install
