Hi, I have a Sony LDP-1450 laserdisc player and I want to connect it to
my Windows XP computer so I can control my player via my PC. I have the
correct software (old dos ldp.exe program), and the correct cable
connected to my computer. I load the program, and the response I get
from the program is "Incorrect Response", which means it doesn't see it.
I read that it won't work because XP no longer allows direct hardware
connections to the com ports. Does anyone know any software to allow it
to make this connection in XP, or a boot disk that will load dos and
enable the com ports to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
