Solved! Help connecting Vizio Soundbar (SB3651-E6) to Pioneer PDP-4280 plasma TV

Also have a Blu-Ray, Roku, and Chrome Cast all connected to the TV. Want to use the HDMI cable to connect the soundbar to the TV. Can only get sound out of the soundbar by using the RCA connection. (Does not work with the digital optical or the HDMI cables.) Should I connect the soundbar to the Blu-Ray player using the digital optical connection instead of the TV? Something about no digital audio output from the TV..... I'm very confused!

The TV doesn´t support HDMI ARC, so HDMI won´t work. Optical should work, eventually you will have to set this in TV

Set up for the DIGITAL OUT terminal (OPTICAL), depending on your sound bar

Select “Digital Audio Out”

Select “Dolby Digital” or “PCM”

Press HOME MENU

Also you should get sound via the BD player, this way you can control your BD player via the TV´s remote (have a look at the manual how to set the control settings page 76)
