Help with new set up

Getting rid of HDMI- optical - component cable (cable box)..Just ordered a Minix U9H, android box, I have a little older AV receiver, Onkyo TX-SR702 and a Panasonic TC-P50ST30 TV... What is the best way to connect to get 5.1 and visual.. Thanks

Check the TV audio menu to make sure it will pass 5.1 audio.
If so then
Android box HDMI out to TV HDMI input.
TV optical audio out to receiver optical audio input with Toslink optical cable. The TV and receiver manuals will have details on setting them to work.
If not then you will need an HDMI audio extractor like this one

it is unclear, but I do not think it has pass through, I understand the HDMI with extractor, Does the toslink go directly to AV receiver ?
