Having a problem with my PS4 Pro and passing through 4K through my RX-A820 receiver to my Vizio P65-E1 tv.
When plugged into the tv directly via HDMI port 4 (not 5, oddly enough), I can get the tv to detect the PS4 Pro at full 4K (YUV420 or RGB) and HDR. When plugged into the receiver, the PS4 only lets me do 1080p. Even when I force the output of the receiver to convert any input into 4K (which it does), and then turn on the PS4, the PS4 menu says only 1080p is supported (while the tv input registers 4K from the receiver output).
I tried the 'super secret' menu, holding down Straight and Power to get the advanced menu.. BUT, my advanced menu does NOT have a "4K Mode" option AT ALL. Which I dont understand, as even the lower model RX-A750 has this option. How did I get the better model that has worse 4K passthrough options?!
Any ideas or help is appreciated!
