What I'm saying is...you can make a 'movie' with anything. Storyline, direction, composition, and editing are far more important than the equipment.
Get the Sony. Make something. If it's good, it's good. If it's not, it's probably not the equipment.

Probably not a lot different than any other similar price consumer grade camera.

The CX430V has microphone and headphone inputs. Personally, I think having an external mic option is important and the ability to monitor sound through a headphone is important as well. Another good option might be the Canon VIXIA HF M500 Full HD Camcorder.
