hitachi sound bar troubleshooting

My hitachi AX5014BTU sound bar was working ok but now there is no sound and the remote doesn't seem to be doing anything. even when the volume buttons are pressed on the soundbar there is nothing. I bought this product from Argos in November as a Christmas gift for my son. I bought it direct from them so don't have a receipt either.

Did you try power cycling it? If the volume on the bar does nothing, contact where you got it from or Hitachi for support. You would have a receipt, either in your email, your credit card statement or the records on the site. Just because you don't have a piece of receipt paper in your had does not mean there is no receipt.
