Hook up tv

I have a Direct Tv Satellite box with out HDMI, I have the cable with Red White an yellow hook up, my new TV only has a Red White, Blue or Green hook up how do I connect these hook ups without a yellow connection on it.

Does the TV have an hdmi port, if so you are going to want to get a hdmi cable and use that. If not, does your cable box have anything else besides HDMI out?

some tvs use the green or blue as yellow for red white yellow. My vizio used I think the green as yellow if that was all you had. should be in the manual or on the back it will say like R G/Y B

Those are different cable standards, Component vs Composite. To my knowledge you can't hook one up to the other, though it wouldn't surprise me if a TV had the ability to do it. If your satellite box doesn't have the hook ups to go to your TV, I'd call the company and get a different box.

DirectTV should be able to give you another box with the proper hookup, although I hear their customer service is horrendous.
