I tried that but when I click on the three dot menu it only show format and eject and I format it but all is says it portable storage and that won’t work I’m guessing it’s restricted on the LGK4

I formatted my sd card and rebooted. It only shows to move not make it default. My phone is lgk4 2017 run by snapdragon. Its a new phone from bell. Thanks.

So if the options listed in the instructions don't work on your device, then as it says, the manufacturer blocked this.

I tried the above solution only to get the same thing happen as June_3 got. Operating on android 6.0.1.
Phone is unlocked and not tied to any carrier. What's the point of having extra storage via an SD card if you can't use it?
