How do i fix cameraerror formating memory stick?

Hello, i was trying to copy pictures into my pc when i accidently deleted the folder 101 MSDCF that contained my pictures.I lost my pictures but i dont care about them but my camera is saying "error formating memory stick"? I dont know how to fix that problem.Please help me.camera model is Sony DSC-S930.

Insert the memory card into a (external) card reader and then format the card using the PC.
