how do i get my keyboard to work on my windows 8 the touch pad works but not keyboard

Hey guys i tried helping my grandma fix her keyboard "p" to work instead of being a * and i uninstalled it now it won't work and i dont know how to reinstall it so she can use her keyboard instead of touch pad i gotta fix it fast.. where she can actually type on keyboard instead of the touch screen keyboard

You don't say anything at all about what "IT", is. Model number? Brand? What have you tried to do to fix it? We need more than "it worked, I messed it up and now it doesn't" in order to help.

heloo.. cheyenneratts2016 first u check the drivers wether it is dectected or not if it is dectected you can just uninstall it and reeboot ur system see if it works because key board has basic drivers it ill be installed automatically if it dosnt solve ur problem once ckeck wether u have activated the filer keys which can be seen in right side cornner of ur system or go to control pannel and find Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Ease of Access Center\Make the keyboard easier to use and un check sticky keys and filter keys then ckick apply and check if it helps if not check ur hard ware...
