How do I hook up my laptop to my receiver for surround sound when playing movies on my laptop (ie; Netflix). I am using HDMI from laptop to tv, & it I have a good picture. thanks.

You could run the HDMI from laptop to Receiver, then plug your TV into the receiver. The receiver will switch video for the TV and also do Audio at the same time.

In windows under control panel and sound devices, turn on HDMI audio and bypass your soundcard (realtek, c-media, or whatever)
