How do you change BIOS settings?

My BIOS is set to launch Windows 8.1, but I've recently upgraded to Windows 10. My stupid laptop doesn't recognise this, and attempts to launch Windows 8.1 instead. How do I change the BIOS settings to enable Win 10 boot-up?

P.S. I have an HP Laptop.

You setup dual boot? or are you getting error booting Win 10?

I'm not getting an error message (the screen just goes black). I don't think it's a dual boot. The BIOS says Windows 8.1 is the factory installed O.S. I don't know how to change this setting to Win 10.

Make sure you are booting from the disk
