How to Clean Install Windows on ASUS G73JH-A1

Hello,

I just received my new Asus G73JH-A1 and was thinking about doing a full clean install of WIndows 7 Professional.

1. To start from scratch and rebuild the system the way I like it.

2. To remove all of the bloatware and unused/unnecessary software that came pre-installed.

THe 2 500 GB HDs were also configured into 4 different partitions - so I was wondering why that was so as well.

Now I noticed that there is a substantial amount of proprietary software that ASUS did install that may or may not add to the laptop's performance so I may need to take this into consideration.

I would love to hear if any of your owners out there have done this successfully and what were your steps?

First have a look for a program called Decrappifier which claims to get rid of the paid-for rubbish computer suppliers think we will appreciate/tolerate.
