I need to do a live stream, and I have a Canon Legria HF M52

The problem is this. I need to connect it to the PC and use it as a live stream on Skype. I tried connecting it to manycam which is a 3rd party application used a bridge between Skype and other webcams BUT windows is NOT reading it as a camera, merely just as a transfer device from the Camcorder to the Hard disk to deplete the camcorder.

I have these Ports on my Camera:

1 MiniUSB
1 HDMI OUT port
1 AV OUT / headphone jack (single jack input)
and 1 for the MIcrophone (also a jack)

I tried connecting it via USB but as I Said all it is finding it is as an external HDD

---

ALSO this Camcorder supports WiFi but I have NO idea what I can do to connect it. I established a link to my Router which was provided by my ISP but nothing happened. I can't even find the IP of camera (only the MAC address if it is the camera's)

Any help please?

Not all cameras support a "live view" over the USB connection. Fewer still over WiFi.

What does the users manual say?

Right.
"It's a bit of a missed opportunity that Canon hasn't also made it possible to stream video live from this device."

Solution

Thanks very much for your help either way USAFRet :) Much appreciated
