Question How to connect sony ht rt40 to pc ?

I just bought a sony home theatre ht rt 40

I want to connect this to my pc which has the following ports

2 Hdmi ins and 1 dpin (Monitor)

Line in, Line out and Dvi

Hdmi and Dp ports (GPU)Nvidia 1050ti

What is the easiest way to get 5.1 sound out of my pc?
Please help me guys its very confusing...

which motherboard are you using?

all the way by HDMI:
1050ti to monitor/TV
monitor/TV HDMI(ARC) to sony ht rt40 (HDMI(ARC))

The Sony lacks a true HDMI input and HDMI-ARC is for TVs only so isn't useful with a PC.
Your options would be

1. Use an HDMI audio extractor. That would provide an optical audio output for the Sony optical input.
2. Add a soundcard (internal or USB) with an optical audio output.
