How to find verizon tower outage status

Is there a place on the web or phone that I can go to to find out if there are any cell tower outages and what areas?

I'm not aware of any particular sites where you could find such info. However, you'd probably be able to get an answer from Verizon directly by getting in touch with their support team.

Unfortunately Verizon was not very helpful nor forthcoming on outages or status pages.

They told me they were unable to tell me where towers are located (which I did not ask) nor if there were any outages.

I like their cell service, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

No doubt. I'm not aware of any companies out there that are forthcoming when it comes to revealing the locations of their towers, much less if they are working or not. If something similar happens again, I'd suggest trying to talk to a supervisor or someone that can transfer you to someone who knows what is going on.
