hello
i dont know what to do i have now installed a new mobo with a new cpu and now my audio is popping/crackling when i pley music and play games. i check dpc latency and evrything looks fine. update all my drivers, updated bios and check if the problem was the headset.
i dont know what is causing this and its verry annoying
hope someone will help me
thanks
pc spect:
mobo: asus z-170a
cpu: i7 6700k
ram: 16gb 3000mhz
gpu: gtx 1070
headset: astro a50 connected with a usb cable

there's another thread at the moment with this exact same problem - i believe it is the same motherboard. i'm not sure how to link you to it.

here's the name of that thread:

PC Audio/Boot Problems

presumably if you put that in the 'search tom's hardware box .... you would find that thread ... maybe someone responding to it would supply a fix for you. Interesting that it is the same motherboard!

it works thanks but for me, i try a jack 3.5mm headphone and the sound was perfect so i dont tink the problem is frome my onboard audio but i tryed my usb headset on a other pc and the sound was perfect so i dont know where the problem is from
and sorry form my bad english, its not my #1 language.
thanks

all i can think of for your problem is that maybe it is a case of mis-matched usb 2 and usb 3. Have you tried your headphones in all the different usb ports of your computer?
