how to fix dell latitude d600 that freezes on startup at blue screen that says unmountable boot volume

you need to replace your hard drive. you will not be able to get past the blue error screen. the whole purpose of the blue screen is to warn you that there is an issue preventing your laptop from booting or working properly.
