What do I have to do/get to get 7.1 surround sound on a gaming headset, or something that is really close to 7.1 surround sound (Emulated)? I looked it up but everybody just says what not to do. I am looking for an answer like: "Connect headset to motherboard" or "get sound card." I have an Asus H97 Pro Gamer motherboard. Thank you!

You get a 7.1 or 7.1 emulated headset. You connect it to a mobo/soundcard that supports 7.1 surround sound - yours does (8Channels) and you use the audio driver software on your system to set it up (SupremeFX should be yours) I have the Razer Megaladon's (simulated 7.1) with realtek hd audio and I don't really like them. I have a friend who likes his Razer Tiamats (actual 7.1) But I don't really think any of the 7.1 stuff is really special in my experience. I would rather have a high end 2.1 stereo set.

Heres a couple great vidoes on this:
