how to install windows 7 on an acer aspire one 1-431

Please help, I have tried just about everything and nothing seems to be working. The machine is a UEFI machine with a GPT partition. I can get the flash drive to work but when it gets to the setup is starting, it stops there and the animation won't start and then I get the BSOD and thats it. If someone can help I would appreciate it. I can't even run windows 7 from an external hard drive in legacy mode. Does the same thing as the above comment with BSOD.

Try switching UEFI to Legay mode in BIOS.
then
in bios you should have also a feature you can enable to make appear F12 menu in boot time.
when this feature is enabled reboot computer and press F12 at boot to select the device you want to boot with .

I thank you ffg7 but I tried that and it still did not work. I even turned off fastboot and that didnt help either. I can install windows 10 on an external hard drive and boot into legacy mode and it works great. Just not 7.

why are you trying to install win7 on that cloudbook when there is no win7 drivers for it?

Because I don't like windows 10. But its all good, if you can't get drivers for it then I will trade it for a windows 7 laptop.
