How to Troubleshoot on Roku

Watching TV shows, series, and movies that are accessed through the internet on the big Roku TV has easily attracted many people all over the world. The immense number of attractive options features and easy navigation makes this a popular product among the masses. There can be circumstances where the Roku can run into some problem. Here is how you can troubleshoot the Roku device n your own easily by the below steps.

Step1
The first method you can try while troubleshooting your Roku device is by getting access to the secret menu on Roku and try the software update. To access the secret menu, press the following buttons.

  ■Firstly, press the ‘Home’ button five times.
  
  
  
  ■Immediately press the ‘Fast-Forward’ button as shown in the figure three times.
  
  
  
  ■Then press the ‘Reverse’ button as shown in the figure two times.

All these steps must be done continuously without any gap to get access to the secret menu.

Step 2
Now in the options present in the secret menu, press the ‘Update Software’ to begin the updation of the latest software.

The device will now check for the new software updates. If the software is up to date then in the next dialog box that occurs, it will show ‘No software updates available at this time’ or ask you to choose the ‘Continue’ button to begin the updation of the software on your device.

You can try unplugging the Roku device and then plug it again. After this, you will have to perform the system update. Press the ‘Home’ button on your Roku remote.

Scroll down the options to choose the ‘Settings’ option.

then click the ‘System’ option.

Now, click on the ‘Advance system settings’ to restart the Roku device.

If the software update, unplugging and restarting the Roku device did not work, then you can opt for the factory reset. In the secret menu options, choose the ‘Factory Reset’ option to do the factory reset for your Roku device
