You can manually check for updates if you find your Roku players being disconnected for a long period of time or when you have recently installed a non-certified channel.

Follow these instructions to manually check for software and channel updates.
Step 1
Press the ’Home’ button on your Roku Remote.
Step 2
Choose the ’Settings’ option from the list of choices by scrolling up or down.
Step 3
Select the ‘System’ option from the list.
Step 4
Select the ‘System Update’ choice from the list of options. This will open the system update screen.
Step 5
The system update screen will display the current software and build version along with details of the date and time of the latest update check. Select the ‘Check now’ option to begin the manual check for updates.
Now the Roku player checks for new software updates.
If there is a new software available for download, then your Roku player will download the update and install them automatically. Once done, your Roku player will be rebooted. If the software update is not available it displays. Your Roku player software is up to date.
