Hp Envy 17 overheating when charging battery

Hello,
So I'm the not so proud owner of an HP Envy 17 customized with a ssd hard drive, windows 7 ultimate, 8g ram. This thing gets really hot when charging, battery life is terrible( I know but a mac 17 gets at least more than 2hrs) What can I do? My laptop has been in for repairs 6 times and guess what? Does not help or get better, actually I think it got worse. What do I do? is there a recall?

Oh and the fan make a bunch of noise besides blowing and I got this high pitch noise that seems to come from the ram and yes I replaced the ram to see if it was bad.
