Hybrid vs HDD, Laptop comments

I am deciding between a MacBook pro13.3 non-retina, Lenovo Y50, and a Sager NP7338.

I'm leaning towards the Sager, but I was curious... what is the difference between 1TB HDD with 7200RPM and a 1 TB HDD 5400 RPM 8GB SSD hybrid? What would be the performance difference be and is it worth 70 bucks?

Would it be better to get a hybrid drive mentioned above for $70, the 7200rpm HDD 1TB for free, or just an SSD (primary drive: c...) no HDD --> 256GB SSD for $85

About me: College student, not playing intensive games... mainly MMORPG like runescape, neverwinter, CS, stuff like that. 1200ish budget. Recommendations on the 3 I am deciding between?

While SSDs are the absolute fastest, if you're gonna be playing games they tend to fill up fast, especially with the sizes of games nowadays. SSDs are great for if your computer can handle a secondary drive or if you're gonna be playing older games or less games than you have fingers on 1 hand (unless you lost some to hypothermia, in which that doesn't count).

SSHDs are making a big come back. They are fairly inexpensive, and while they aren't quite as fast as just an SSD, they'll have much higher capacities. The 7200 RPM HDDs might take longer, but if you're on a udget, I'd say sacrificing a few extra seconds is better than spending less anywhere else on a computer.

If you get the SSD I would use that as the boot drive and get a 1 TB hard drive for data. Hybrid drives don't boot faster back they use the SSD technology for caching only. SSD will give fast load and boot times.
