So I recently purchased a HyperX Cloud Stinger headset for my sister. The audio works fine, but for some reason, the single 3.5mm connector on the laptop is not picking up the mic signal from the single 3.5mm connector from the headset. Windows is just straight up not recognizing it. There are no drivers to download from HyperX's website, so I reinstalled the Realtek audio drives on the laptop, but they still didn't show up. When I tried the single 3.5mm to USB in line soundcard that came with my Cloud 2's, the mic was instantly recognized and worked like a charm. First off, any suggestions on how to fix the issue of windows not recognizing the mic? Second, would any old single 3.5mm to USB adapter serve the same function as the 30$ one that came with my Cloud 2's?
Thanks for any help
