i bought a acer aspire v3-731 from a pawn shop about a year and a half ago. my son went to get on it yesterday and no bootable device popped up. What does this mean and how do I fix it. All our family pictures and other information was on that laptop. Can we get it back?

The HD may have died. Might try to press F2 and get into the BIOS menu and see if it reports anything in the bootable device field?
