I cant boot from any device USB or dvd.
I am trying to instal Windows 7 ultimate.
The computer is a pavilion dv6-3100 laptop with Windows 7 home.
The bios do not have any UEFI options.
I have tested al bios settings.
The dvdrom works in other computers.
The dvd player works only with non bootable dvds (in Windows)
The laptop cant see any USB IF it is bootable.
There is no security function in bios that I can turn off.

Solution
Ok succes.
I have succeeded to install Windows 7 ultimate.
Used a new kingston USB memory formated to ntfs under Rufus with MBR partitioning scheme for bios or UEFI.
Then I just pressed F9 in startup and choose boot from USB. The problem seems to be that it is not possible to use the Dvd player and some USB memorys to install Windows.

Thanks for the reply
From hp:
"You will need to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and ENABLE "Legacy Support" in the "BIOS Secure Boot cofiguration" on the settings page shown below, before you can attempt to install Windows 7;"

But thats the problem, there is no option for that in the BIOS!
I have not tested to format the USB in FAT32 I will try that next.
