i cant find my cd rom/dvd on my windows 8 laptop

I just recently bought a hp 15 notebook it has windows 8 and I cannot find the cd rom/ dvd anywhere im not sure if it cuzz I never used it before or im just a idiot when it comes to looking for certain things on my laptop but I really need help
