i cant get into my windows 8 computer it says welcome but does not go anywhere what do i do?

im having a problem with getting into my toshiba laptop and it wont go past the welcome screen when i put in my password what do i do?

If it is not accepting your password, there is unfortunately nothing we can do here to help you. Cracking passwords is specifically against the forum rules. Your best bet would be to take it to a local computer shop and provide whatever proof of ownership they require in order to obtain assistance.

On the other hand, if it accepts your password but never shows you the Windows 8 tiles, Windows may have been damaged by malware. A factory refresh option may be available to you that will repair Windows without losing your data. You'll need to check your documentation for instructions on how to do that.
