I have a Kodak easyshare C1450 and windows 8 and it wont work

Hello,
I bought a laptop with windows 8, my Kodak easyshare C1450 software on work on my computer. what can I do???

Is the Camera recognized by Windows 8 or is it that the Easyshare software is not working? According to the Microsoft site (and mentioned in the link above) a free download is required.
