I have installed a new keyboard for a medion akoya laptop, but now half the keys don't work and the keys that do work are showing the wrong keys to the ones being pressed for example if I press 2 it displays as 0 and if I press backspace I get the + symbol. Do I need to reformat the new keyboard now it has been installed.

Check the cable. At least one lane of the flt cable is not connected.
