I NEED my default storage to be SD because my tablet is filled up on built in apps (dunno what's with that)

You photos and media files can be set to use the SD cards in Settings. Exact steps depends on your version of the OS, but you can easily find the procedure with a web search. If you go to your program manager, once again in settings, you can go through the apps and see if any have an option to be moved to the SD card.
