I want to install Windows 7 on ASUS r751jb-mh71 Laptop. Anyone has experience?

Hi Everyone,
My Asus r751jb-mh71 windows 8.1 has been trolling me pretty hard. It is very slow to boot and annoying overall. I want to go with windows 7. Does anyone have any experience with such an upgrade? Can you share any important lessons please?

Hi Pyros 2000,

I totally get you ! But I would first proceed to the free update to Windows 8.1 which is a much improved windows 8. There are utilities on the web that can help you simulate windows 7. This would be my preferred option because Microsoft have hinted that windows 10 will be free for windows 8 users. (which won't be my case, since I'm using Windows 7 x64)

But if you really want to go windows 7 route, just get a windows 7 installation CD (or you can put installation on a usb stick like I did). and reboot and follow instructions.

NB : It's important to boot from CD/DVD

Crazy slow boot is my main problem with it. Overall I didn't enjoy the experience working with this OS.

Rumors are around April 2015. But you can already try out their alpha version to get an idea, just sign up on Microsoft's sight. (place on a secondary computer).
