Hello,

I am looking at two laptops which have the same price: Asus GL533VE and Asus FX502VM.

The GL533VE has the i7 7700HQ CPU and the GTX 1050 Ti, 256GB SSD and 1 TB HDD. On the other had, the FX502VM has the i7 6700HQ and GTX 1060, and only 1TB HDD (I do have a 256GB EVO 850 from my old laptop which I will use.

Both laptops are 1080p and have 16GB of RAM. I will be using it for Premiere Pro rendering and programing (Computer Science undergraduate) Which laptop do you recommend?

Cheers

i7 7700HQ is latest but you will get better performance in FX502VM because there is no difference between the processor expect name but gtx 1060 performs better than gtx 1050 ti.

In 2017 intel is become out of innovation but they need launched to launch the new product in market for business so they made kabylake processors which perform 0.01% faster than skylake processors.

They aren't phones :p pun intended!

I'd go with the one equipped with the Kabylake processor part since it's got all the bells and whistles and for your work load, the GTX1050Ti would be a little lacking but you don't need to tinker with your laptop's innards and risk voiding your warranty.

Oops my bad :p

That was my idea as well. But after surfing the forums and taking a look at benchmarks, the 6700 and 7700 have minor differences, compared to the advantage the 1060 has over 1050 Ti.
