If you format an sd card do you delete photos on card

I couldn't find a way to transfer my photos from camera to my laptop. I see busy error and if I format the card, I will lose them all. I used USB to connect the camera but I see still "busy" error. What should I do? 🙁

Yes, if you format the memory card, you will lose the contents. Have you tried accessing the SD card in another device (like in a PC with a card reader)? If so, you may be able to recover the files with an app like Recuva.

Thank you I bought a card reader and I could handle it..
