Solved! In the market for a new laptop

Hello,
I'm looking to buy a new laptop. Would like to keep the price under $1000. We already have a nice home PC and this laptop would be used for trips, browsing, music and movies (mainly for the kids!). Not ruling out some light gaming and photoshop as well. My choices are between a Toshiba A665-S5179 and a Sony VPCEB 490X.

The Toshiba is equipt w/ an Intel core I5-480m, 4GB DDR3 1066 memory, 500GB HDD (5400rpm), Glu-ray disc ROM and DVD SuperMulti drive, mobile Intel HD graphics, 64MB-1696MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory, 3USB (2.0), 1 SATA/USB (2.0) combo port w/ sleep and charge, HDMI and Harman/Kardon stereo speakers.

The Sony is equipt w/ I3-380m processor (2.53GHz), 320GB hard drive (7200rpm), 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3 SDRAM-1066, Intel graphics media accelerator HD w/ Intel wireless display technology, Blu-ray player and an Adobe bundle (full ).

First, which brand is better? Second, which machine is better (looks like pretty much a wash)? Third, looking for a quality wireless printer to go w/ laptop any recommendations?? Thanks and much appreciated!!

The Toshiba has a better processor and more HD space (meaning you can fit more files onto it). And TBH, most people would tell you Toshiba>Sony brand-wise. Also, I would take a look at this: http/www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834214190
