Inserted scissors into the charger port trying to rremove anything that was preventing my note from charging as i just could get it to charge even after replacing my charger with a new one. I inserted it then suddenly the whole thing shuts down and hangs on the boot screen. I cant turn it on nor can i turn it off

All that can be said is that you've broken it. Scissors are not an apprpriate tool to use with delicate electronic equipment.

Check with some local computer shops how much it will cost to replace the charging port, but it could have also shorted out something on the system board also so if the replacement port did not work, you'd have to go further and try a new system board.

I would say finding a working used Note would be a better option that starting the repair path.

You'll have to replace the charging port, which is probably soldered to the board. If you're not comfortable doing that, a phone repair place might be able to do it for you. Otherwise you can replace the entire tablet.

Next time anyone wants to take apart their tablet, use a guitar pick. That is what repair centers use.
