install new zif hard disk in camcorder sony xr155

Hello,
i have recovered my datas from a zif harddisk succesfully, by following Tom's hardware advices few months ago.
Today I am trying to install a new hard disk in the camera sony Xr155, but It shows like before with the old disk, the error C1302, overheated, turnoff and wait. I have a slot for SD memory card but can not use it either. I can not access the menu.

Is there a camcorder specialist who can help me ? Thank you.

The new hard disk with the ZIF connector will work only if the power output in Amps from the ZIF connector equals or exceeds the power draw of the hard disk. To check this you may have to look into the specs of the old hard disk or device. Contacting the manufacturer may not help because they (tech support) will not know what you are talking about!

Hi, Thanks a lot for replying.
I have just checked the specs of the 2 hard disks. Exactly the same : TOSHIBA, MK1234 GAL 120GB HDD1817 Dc 3.3 V 500mA.

I accidentally pulled out the zif connector still attached to the hdd from the camcorder. Now the camcorder is not anymore linked to the connector ZIF, neither to the hdd. So more hard disk. I switched the camcorder alone on but it still showed the same message error C:13:02 overheating.

I think there is something to reset, but what ???? how ???. It is a camcorder which could be used also with a SD card, so now i can not even use it with the sd card.

During the process some other connector got loose. If the ZIF connector is the only problem you can trying cleaning the contacts very carefully using an pencil eraser and then putting them back together.
